Christmas Candlestick
Привет! Русская версия здесь.
Hello! In this article I’m going to tell how to crochet this beautiful Christmas Candlestick.
What do we need:
- Yarn, for example, Snehurka (200 m/50g). You can also use the rest of yarn from any lace doilies, every yarn is great if you use crochet hook #1 for it.
- Crochet hook #1
- Scissors
- Starch
- Needles for blocking
Stitch Guide:
- ch – chain
- yo – yarn over
- sc – single crochet
- dc – double crochet
- fpdc – front relief dc
- 2dc-decrease – yo, insert hook in the 1st st, pull up the loop, crochet 2 loops on the hook, skip next st, yo, insert hook in the next st, pull up the loop, crochet 2 loops on the hook, crochet all 3 loops on the hook
- picot – ch 3, slip st in the 1st loop from the hook
Crocheting process:
- Ch 40, slip st in the 1st loop
- Ch 3, dc in each next loop around = 40 dcs
- Ch 3, {fpdc around next st, dc in the next st} – repeat around, slip st in the beginning of the round
- Work in front half-loops of sts of the previous round. Ch 5, 2dc-decrease starting from the 1st st of the round, {Ch 2, 2dc-decrease} – repeat around. Slip st in the 3rd loop of the round
- Slip st in the 1st arc, Ch 5, dc in the same arc, {dc in the next arc, ch 2, dc in the same arc} – repeat around. Slip st in the 3rd loop of the round
- Slip st in the arc, ch 1, sc in the same arc, {ch 2, picot, ch 2, sc in the next arc} – repeat around. Slip st in the beginning of the round.
- Finish off.
Then you need to block your candlestick.
Thank you!
