Hello, please find below my new free crochet pattern – quick and easy crochet basket for Easter egg! I hope you’ll like it!

For one basket you will need:

Any Jumbo yarn leftovers, about 17-21 m

Crochet hook #10

Scissors

Crochet hook #6 – optional

Size #10 crochet thread, bead and needle – optional, if you want to sew a flower.

Stitch Guide (US terms):

ch = chain

sl st = slip stitch

sc = single crochet

dc = double crochet

blo = back loops only

3dc-cl = [yo, insert hook in the indicated st, yo and pull up the loop, yo and draw through 2 loops on hook] x 3 times, yo and draw through all loops on hook

Rnd 1

8 sc in magic ring, sl st in first sc.

Rnd 2

ch 1, 2 sc in same st, [sc in next st, 2 sc in next st] x around, sc in last st, sl st in blo of first sc.

Rnd 3

This round should be worked in blo. ch 1, sc in each st around, sl st in first sc in both loops.

Rnd 4

ch 1, sc in each st around, sl st in first sc. Now you can change the hook (6 mm) and make the handle (I just think it will look more accurate if you make it with smaller hook): Ch 14, skip next 5 sts, sl st in next st, turn, sl st in each loop of ch-14 just made. Sl st in same sc as ch-14 started from. Fasten off.

If you want, you can decorate your basket with a flower:

ch 4, 3dc-cl in the 4th loop from hook, ch 3, sl st in the same loop, [ch 3, 3dc-cl in the same loop, ch 3, sl st in the same loop] x 2 times, fasten off. Sew the flower and add the bead.
