One more easy crochet pattern – snowflakes! I am going to make them as some additional small gifts for the next New Year!
You will need about 35 m of Starleta yarn and steel crochet hook #2.75. Diameter of the finished snowflake is about 2.5 in in diameter.
Stitch Guide (US terms)
ch = chain
dc = double crochet
sc = single crochet
bpdc = back post double crochet
sl st = slip stitch
picot = ch 3, sl st in the top of the last made st
3dc-cl = [yo, insert hook in the indicated st, yo and pull up the loop, draw through 2 loops on the hook] x 3 times, yo and draw through all loops on the hook.
Rnd 1
ch 8, sl st in the first loop to form a ring.
Rnd 2
ch 3 (= first dc), 15 dc in the ring, sl st in the first dc.
Rnd 3
sl st from back to front to back again around the same st, ch 3 (= first bpdc),
[ch 1, bpdc around the next st] x 15 times,
ch 1, sl st in the top of the first bpdc.
Rnd 4
ch 1, sc in the same st,
[*ch 2, 3dc-cl in the next st, picot, ch 2*, sc in the next st] x 7 times,
repeat from * to * once again,
sl st in the top of the first sc. Finish off.
